:10—A drive-by “Overtime” for ya ‘cause “A Brother is tired!” Just wrapped up the 44th consecutive Champions/Achieving Greatness/Armen Gilliam/Leroy Freeman Hard Work Basketball Camp. Eighty-one boys and girls blew it out. Special thanks to staff, volunteers, camp director Warren Wilson, Chris Seneca, Coach Karen Hall, Al Smith, Kevin Solomon, Chris “Nightmare” Stallworth and special guest Darrell “Dap” Porter. :09—Your Pirates took two out of three from the Padres (Aug 4-6). Yeaaaaa!!!

:08—There’s a new sheriff in town and “she’s” a man-killing machine and “her” name is the Atomic Blonde, aka Charlize Theron. Man, 4 out of 5 basketballs. She is bad, bad, bad. (Stay away from the dark tower . . . You – Will – Die – Of – Dark – Boredom!)

:07—Your Pittsburgh Steelers open the preseason at the New York Giants this Friday, Aug. 11 at 7 p.m. Let’s get ready to rumble!

:06—High school football is right around the corner. Let’s get ready to support our high school students and football programs on all levels. And remember, you’re not playing anything but the radio on the way home from the game.

:05—It’s back and almost here. The Fourth Annual Pittsburgh City League High School All-Sports Hall of Fame Awards. And we’re getting ready for a fourth consecutive sellout crowd. And I know it’s about to be true because this year’s class will feature the induction of both the 1966 and 1971 Schenley High School city and state basketball teams. Saturday, Oct. 7 at the historic August Wilson Center, 6 p.m. reception, 7 p.m. awards. Tickets are $50. Next week in this column we will announce the top 50 names being considered for induction!

:04—If you’re home reading this right now and it’s after 7 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 9…It means you are missing the elements. Earth, Wind and Fire is about to tear the roof off the sucker in Pittsburgh! (Second-greatest R&B group of all-time, behind the Temptations, Ed Gainey!)

:03—For the record, Terrell “T.O.” Owens not going in the NFL Hall of Fame again is a bigger crime than Donald Trump being elected President.

:02—“Free O.J.!!!” Oh, my bad. They did that. (O.J. didn’t do it!)

:01—The Great White Par-Tay…The last White Party of the summer is coming. The fabulous Savoy Restaurant will present…The Fast and Furious White Par-Tay and Car Show Saturday, Sept. 2…Labor Day weekend…Saturday, 4-7 p.m. is the car show in the lot with DJ, vendors and 50/50 raffle. All great cars welcome. First, second and third place trophies for best car on site. The party moves indoors 7-10 p.m. Food, drinks and fun, fun, fun!
