Collaborations, partnerships and linkages are a few tools Danielle Davis, the owner of Davis Consulting Solutions, believes assists in operating a successful business.

“No one becomes a success on their own and there is strength in numbers,” she says. She also believes in the Chinese proverb: Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.

Over 100 entrepreneurs, city officials, community and non-profit organizations, government employees, higher education representatives and family members were on hand Friday, Dec. 2 at the East Liberty Library to assist Davis celebrates the fifth-year anniversary of her consulting business. “I am amazed and grateful at the amount of people who have turned out today,” said Davis during her welcoming remarks.

With the theme “Make Your Business Our Business and Succeed in 2017” in anticipation to continue her efforts to work within communities, with government officials, business owners, community leaders, and faith-based organizations she classified the anniversary brunch as “a sharing of resources, and a presentation for how we can work together in the upcoming years.” Pleased to be considered a partner, Valerie McDonald Roberts Chief Urban Affairs Officer for the City of Pittsburgh praised Davis for her work and emphasized the significance of the groups in attendance working together. “This is the way we will grow the city,” she said.
