:10—What can I tell ya…I’m Black. Deal with it! My thanks to my literary Brother “Tim” for filling in for me last week, as I recovered from yet another successful Achieving Greatness program. Yeah boys and girls, the recovery time is slower and harder!

:09—I’ve always been the first one to tell my staff at any level… “You’ll know when you’re done when people stop coming so let me be the first to tell you this, the legend of the Connie Hawkins Summer Basketball League is put to bed for good. On the 40 year anniversary of one of the nation’s Top 10 programs from 1975 – 1995, a dedicated few came to the Savoy to remember the memories. A good time by those who came and those memories will live on forever. The Rankin Gangsters, The Echoes, The Dons, Bump Yes, Clairton’s Finest, The Force, The Homewood Horses, Big’s Storm, Running  Rebels, Point Park, Pitt, CMU, North Side, Champions, Rico’s Boys and all the others. Thank You!
