Pittsburgh, Pa.—Nine Black men have been named “BMe Leaders” and will receive $10,000 a piece for their community service and ability to inspire. The honor is presented by the prestigious BMe Community, a national social network for people of all races and genders who care about making communities stronger.

BMe Community’s reach is impressive. In fact, “Reach” is the title of BMe’s 2015 New York Times bestseller on the lives of Black men like John Legend and Pittsburgh’s Lamman Rucker.

The White House invited 60 BMe Leaders and Rucker to a May 20th briefing this year where they received the President’s Voluntary Service Award.

BMe has significant local champions as well.
