POISE Foundation, an organization dedicated to helping the Black community of Pittsburgh achieve self-sustainability, is announcing its appointment of Colonel (Ret.) Paul G. Patton as Chairman Emeritus.
Colonel Patton had served as the chair of POISE Foundation for 19 years and was an original incorporator of this 36-year-old, philanthropic institution. He was the organization’s first Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Greg Spencer, who succeeded Col. Patton in November, 2014 reported that “the Board elected to confer emeritus status to him as a mark of distinguished service and leadership. “We are also excited that he has agreed to continue to stay active on the Board,” Spencer said.
