Shemekia Copeland is the raucous and joyful embodiment of Blues music.
Influenced by her late father, legendary Bluesman Johnny Clyde Copeland and many others, Shemekia, delivers gale force singing power to every tune she belts out.
The soulful songstress has won 8 Blues Music Awards and was recognized as the 2010 Blues Artist of the Year.
Her fame has led her to collaborations with Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, B.B. King and Mick Jagger. She’s been nominated for several Grammy Awards and has performed at the White House for President Barack Obama.
She recently performed in Pittsburgh.
