Discussion on Community Benefits
MARCH 31—Following up on its public hearing before city council, the Community Empowerment Association is holding a discussion on helping to create a citywide Community Benefits Ordinance, giving neighborhoods throughout the city input and and a seat at the table regarding development projects. The event is at 6 p.m. at the University of Pittsburgh School of Social Work, 2117, Cathedral of Learning. Experts, including Dean Larry Davis, will make presentations on racial and economic disparities and remedies available through CBAs.


MARCH 31—Pittsburgh Council Woman Darlene Harris presents an ongoing financial literacy education. This session includes presentations on first-time home buying by the Pennsylvania Housing & Finance Agency, and managing your credit by Advantage Credit Counselors. The sessions are held at the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, 1230 Federal Street, Pittsburgh .
