Don’t you wish that you could get a sneak peak of a hotel room before you check in? Many hotels would tell you that is why we have a website.
On March 3, Hotel Indigo, one of Pittsburgh’s newest boutique hotels pulled back the covers and invited hundreds of guests to see what the Highland Avenue location is all about.
Guests were given a punch card that entered them into a contest for a trip. As they made visits to the various rooms Hotel Indigo staff members punched their cards.
The crown jewel of Hotel Indigo is the Governor’s Suite complete with living and dining areas, a walk in closet and a spa like bathroom that would make anyone swoon. The rooms are full of décor and design touches that showcase the theatre and entertainment heritage of East Liberty.
After the tour Nigel Parkinson, Hotel Indigo, owner/developer and general contractor and Pittsburgh Mayor Bill Peduto spoke about the building of the hotel from the ground breaking to present. The project took nearly a decade to complete. They recognized some of those who made the hotel possible including Blyden Terry.
Hotel Indigo is an IHG (Intercontinental Hotels Group) property and is located at 123 North Highland Avenue in the heart of East Liberty.
