The fans in Aliquippa have nicknamed him “The Hulk” and let’s be honest, at 6’3” and 225 pounds of solid muscle, Kaezon Pugh is an intimidating figure.

He sprints on the court, with his face set in stern mode and is a lion or “Hulk” on the prowl.  Pugh has a really mean facial look to him.  He makes “Mean Joe” Greene of Coca-Cola commercials and ‘70s Super Bowl fame, seem like Mary Poppins.

Pugh, a Pitt football recruit who was the 2015 Pennsylvania Class AA Player of the Year, threw elbows and rip down rebounds and intimidated Lincoln Park (22-4) in Aliquippa’s (25-0) 49-45 victory Saturday at Pitt’s Petersen Event Center.

For the fourth time in school history, the Quip won back-to-back WPIAL basketball titles.  Other repeats were in 1987-1988, 2003-2004 and 2006-2007.

That makes 12 WPIAL titles in all, which ties Aliquippa for second place on the WPIAL’s all-time boys list.  Duquesne, which is no longer in existence, also has 12.  Farrell, which now competes in PIAA District 10, has the most with 13.
