FEB. 25—Stop the Violence-Pittsburgh will host Pittsburgh’s Black Honors Symposium & Gala at 7 p.m. at the Carnegie Music Hall, 4400 Forbes Ave., Oakland. This event will honor a few of the African Americans who have made contributions to the Pittsburgh community since 1755. The evening’s honorees are Alma Speed Fox, retired Judge J. Warren Watson, Mark Brentley, Roger Humphries, Rev. Victor Grigsby, Ralph Proctor, Valerie McDonald Roberts and Bishop Loran Mann. Reservations are required.
