Black History Month Exhibit

Citiparks presents its “A History on Film: A Tribute to African American Contribution to Film” Black History Month Exhibit weekdays from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at the City-County Building, Lobby, 414 Grant St., Downtown. Through Feb. 29, the exhibit will depict the evolution of the roles that Black actors and actresses have played from the 1910s to present day. It will salute the first African Americans to win Oscar and Emmy Awards. For more information, call 412-255-8983.

Open Mic Night

There Is Hope Suicide Prevention presents an Open Mic Night from 7-10 p.m. at the Homewood branch of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, 7101 Hamilton Ave., Homewood. This Open Mic Night, held in memory of the late Tyler “Ty” Lewis and to bring awareness to suicide and mental disorders, will include poetry, mime dance, spoken word and more.
