Lionel Richie was one of the elite pop stars of the late 1970 and 1980s, considered one of the golden ages of music of the modern era, where he ruled over the charts (first with the group the Commodores and then as a more successful solo act) alongside the likes of Michael Jackson, Prince, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen and the Police.

But this was Richie’s night alone as the prolific singer and songwriter, responsible for chart-busting hits masterpiece ballads as “All Night Long,” “You Are,” “Truly,” “Three Times a Lady,” “Endless Love,” “Running With the Night,” “Easy” “Hello,” “Dancing on the Ceiling,” and a host of other hits, was serenaded in a long-overdue homage from some of the biggest stars of contemporary music and entertainment, including Tyrese and John Legend.

Take a look at the 2016 Grammy tribute to Lionel Richie.
