Community Health/Wellness Fair

JAN. 28—UPMC St. Margaret Hospital and the St. Margaret Foundation will host a Free Community Health/Wellness Fair from 1-3 p.m. at City Hall, 301 Eleventh St., New Kensington. There will be representatives from UPMC St. Margaret as well as the New Kensington Family Health Center on hand to answer questions and conduct screenings, which include blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol. A nine-hour fast is recommended for cholesterol screenings. Light refreshments will be provided. For more information, call 724-334-3640.

Campaign Training for Women

JAN. 30—The Pennsylvania Center for Women and Politics at Chatham University will host “Ready to Run: Campaign Training for Women” from 8:30 a.m.-5:45 p.m. at Chatham University, Mellon Board Room, Woodland Road, Shadyside. This is a bi-partisan program for women who want to run for office, seek a higher office, work on a campaign, get appointed to office or just learn about the political system.
