Even though they’re on different sides of the aisle, President Barack Obama and former GOP presidential nominee Mitt Romney both agree that it’s time to take down the Confederate flag.

Dylann Storm Roof, 21, the domestic terrorist who opened fire inside of historic “Mother” Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, was heavily influenced by the confederacy and had dreams of starting a new Civil War because of his hatred for Black Americans.

Mitt Romney has broken with his “states rights” brethren and joined the calls of those saying that the Confederate flag should not fly from the State Building in South Carolina.
