The Cosby Show first aired September 20, 1984. According to the Style Blazer the best way to mark the beloved television show’s 30th anniversary, and truly honor the iconic sitcom is, of course, to talk about Bill Cosby’s sweaters.

People tuned in every week not only to see the various antics of the ground-breaking African-American comedy but to see the insane sweaters the patriarch sported as well.

“Frankly I didn’t think they were so insane, I thought they were sharp and quite fashionable. Each sweater made a statement.” “I’m just saying,

I especially liked anything with a reference to a historically Black college and or university.”

From the Coogi sweaters to geometric intarsias, the Coz’s wardrobe seemed to be an endless stream of zany knitwear.

Designers and retailers seem to be taking style notes from ‘Cosby Sweaters,’ offering a wide range of Cosby-esque sweaters up for sale now. Here are some of the best that Style Blazer found online that you should buy in honor of one of America’s favorite shows!

Watch those prices, I bet you can find something similar at your local thrift store.
