HARRISBURG, Pa. (AP) – A conservative non-profit organization is the first outside group to air ads in support of Gov. Tom Corbett’s re-election bid.

The Delaware-based group, Let Freedom Ring, says it began running the one-minute radio ads Monday in Philadelphia, Harrisburg, Lancaster, Lebanon, Pittsburgh and York.

Corbett, a Republican, has already been attacked in $3 million worth of TV ads by two outside groups that support his Democratic challenger, Tom Wolf.

Let Freedom Ring is a nonprofit that does not have to disclose its donors.

Let Freedom Ring’s president, Colin Hanna, says the ads will run initially for two weeks at a cost of six figures. Hanna says he thinks Wolf’s polling lead is flimsy because it is based on voter impressions of Wolf’s heavy TV advertising.

The election is Nov. 4.
