Port Authority is seeking an experienced Communication Coordinator to develop and maintain business relationships with a large spectrum of stakeholders, including but not limited to transportation-specific agencies, planning agencies, business organizations, community development corporations, residential groups and government agencies. Job requirements include:
•High School Diploma or GED.
•BS/BA in Business Administration, Communications, Public Relations or directly related field. Directly related experience may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis.
•Minimum of five (5) years’ experience in working with/for community organizations, including but not limited to roles such as public outreach, community coordinator, community development, neighborhood coordinator.
•Demonstrated ability in the use of Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Understanding of how to use social media.
•Must be willing to take on duties outside of regular business hours for purposes such as, but not limited to, updating social media channels/website, attending community and/or PAAC meetings and assisting with Communications functions.
•Master’s degree from an accredited college or university in Communications, Business Management, Urban Affairs or related field.
•At least one (1) year experience working with/for an elected official and/or political campaign.

Job Responsibilities include:
•Maintain, diagnose, and repair heavy asphalt paving equipment
•Order equipment repair parts utilizing a formal purchase order system
•Complete service work
•Utilize laptop computer and software programs for information and diagnostic purposes
Basic Qualifications include:
•5 to 10 years experience as an equipment mechanic
•Must be computer literate
•Must possess a Class A or B CDL license
•Must be hands-on and comfortable in highway construction zones
•Must be a team player with a positive attitude
•Must demonstrate initiative and the ability to work independently
