Father/ Daughter Dinner Dance
FEB. 8—The Allegheny Family Network will host its 3rd annual Father Daughter Dinner Dance from 5-9 p.m. at the Allegheny Intermediate Unit, 478 E. Waterfront Dr., Homestead. The theme is “Making Memories, a Dance With My Father.”

FEB. 15—Grandmothers of Pearls will host its Black History Month Celebration from 3:30-6 p.m. at the Homewood branch of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, 7101 Hamilton Ave., Homewood. Attendees must be a grandmother or greater and wear a real or costume pearl necklace. African garb is optional and refreshments will be served. 2014 Valentine’s Extravaganza
FEB. 15—The Kappa Scholarship Endowment Fund of Western Pa. and Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. will host its 2014 Valentine’s Extravaganza “Party with a Cause” at 7 p.m. at the Fairmont Hotel, 510 Market St., Downtown. The evening will include dinner, dancing, a program and a special tribute to the late Rex Crawley, PhD. There will be a cocktail reception at 6 p.m. Reservations are required. Little Miss Allegheny County Open House
FEB. 22—Classic Events and the Michele Goodman Studio will host a Little Miss Allegheny County Open House from 10-11:45 a.m. at the East Liberty Branch of the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh, 130 Whitfield St., East Liberty. They are looking for girls, ages 7-11, to compete for the first Little Miss Allegheny County title. Guest will have training in poise, speech, runway and etiquette.
