The B-PEP JAZZ Working Group is looking for volunteers for the April 21, 2014 Annual B-PEP JAZZ fundraiser, the Black Political Empowerment Project and the Coalition Against Violence only fundraising event. Below is the description of the duties for those serving on this important committee.
B-PEP JAZZ WORKING GROUP RESPONSIBILITIES
The B-PEP Jazz working group was formed to organize the details of the B-PEP Jazz event. The working group will perform the following functions to ensure the event runs efficiently and successfully accomplishes the goals of the event.
The B-PEP Jazz Working Group:
Coordinates the B-PEP Jazz event;
Collaborates with the hotel staff to develop the format of the event;
Collaborates with the B-PEP CEO and staff to ensure organizational requirements are met and recommendations are incorporated into the planning;
Ensures that all activities are timed and managed in an efficient and effective manner on the evening of the event.
The working group will develop plans to ensure the following:
An efficient flow process for guests entering and exiting the venue;
An efficient system for picking up reserved tickets, paying for tickets at the door, and entering the event for those who arrive with tickets;
Efficient scheduling, tracking and management of musicians, emcees, and special guests.
The working group will organize and conduct:
A revenue enhancing raffle; and
An awards ceremony.
