The First Choice for Faster Results
CCAC provides a first-rate education at an institution that has an exceptional reputation for providing quality instruction at an accessible, affordable cost. Every year thousands of students make CCAC their college of first choice. Here’s why:
Innovation and Excellence in Teaching
CCAC’s average class size is just 18 students, giving students the opportunity to have more personalized instruction. In addition, classes are taught by faculty members, not graduate students, so students learn from leaders in their fields.
Access to Financial Aid
More than 40% of CCAC students receive need-based financial aid, making it easier for them to attend college. CCAC students are eligible for scholarships and grant funds, in addition to student loans.
CCAC students have transferred credits to 539 colleges and universities and the college currently has 87 articulation agreements with 30 colleges and universities.
Savings—College Made Affordable
CCAC students save $23,000 over the cost of public four-year colleges and universities and $45,000 over the cost of private four-year colleges and universities—all by spending their first two years at CCAC.
What is a CCAC education worth?
Individuals who earn a credit-bearing certificate or associate degree are better able to get jobs at family-sustaining wages with benefits and advancement opportunities. In fact, statistics show that individuals who earn a certificate or degree can earn 32 to 42 percent more than high school graduates, according to the US Census Bureau. This means that you could earn an additional $400,000 in your lifetime—all as a result of having completed your CCAC education.
Expanded Learning Options
No matter how busy a student’s schedule is, CCAC provides flexible learning options. From the convenience of eight campus and center locations to thousands of online learning options—CCAC gives students access to 24/7 education. Six degrees and five certificates can be completed online, while more than 50% of required courses can be completed online for 29 degree programs and 15 online certificates.
Education for the Careers of Tomorrow in Two Years or Less
CCAC offers associate degree programs, certificates and diplomas in more than 155 programs. From in-demand allied health and nursing programs to state-of-the-art STEM, business and skilled trades programs, CCAC provides educational programs for the leaders and innovators of the future.
Extensive Student Services
CCAC features a full range of services such as career planning, financial aid, job placement assistance, libraries, personal or career counseling, support services for students with disabilities, transfer assistance, tutoring and veterans services. In addition to job and career fairs throughout the year, all campuses feature fully accredited childcare centers available for student use during the school year. CCAC job fairs draw hundreds of local employers and the CCAC Honors Program offers opportunities to expand learning.
Rewarding Student Life Experiences
CCAC provides nearly 100 clubs and organizations, four honor societies, intercollegiate and intramural sports, cultural events and student government leadership positions, providing CCAC students the opportunity to pursue interests outside the classroom.
Find it all at CCAC
CCAC educates more than 33,000 credit and 30,000 non-credit students annually, but students can expect an average class size of just 18 students. With the extensive network of eight campuses and centers located strategically throughout the region, in addition to a growing array of online courses and programs, CCAC is readily accessible to residents of Allegheny County and beyond.
