Master of Ceremonies 

On Aug. 30 individuals representing a cross-section of industries and ministries gathered for the BCC Ministries’ third annual Pittsburgh Circle of Courage Awards.

The event was held at the Doubletree Hotel Monroeville. The event started with a Meet and Greet followed by an awards program. Music was provided by The Chamber Light Players, Symbiotic Collusion, and recording artist Linda Ross Brown.  Lamont Jones was the master of ceremonies.

This year’s Pittsburgh Circle of Courage Awards was sponsored by: Familylinks, Bynums Marketing &  Communications, Inc., Highmark,  Attorney Jerry Meyers and BCC Ministries.

The event is designed to be a source of encouragement to individuals who have displayed outstanding faith and courage in their careers, ministries, and other aspects of life.  Some of this year’s awardees included Charlie Batch, Howard Slaughter, Craig Schweiger, Frederick Douglas, William Russell Robinson, Robert Smouse, Herman Reid, Louis “Hop” Kendrick, Norma Bixler, Rev. James Brown, Rev. Dr. Judith Moore, Ayisha Morgan-Lee, Saihou Njie, Cheryll M. Chakrabarti, Fred Massey, Erin Baker, Donna Bash and Charles Toran.


The Pittsburgh Circle of Courage awardees were  announced at the event.


Giving the purpose

The event included the stories of the winners, the featured musical performances, vendor booths and a silent auction.
