What I truly don’t understand is why Pirate Manager Clint Hurdle allows his starting pitchers to get knocked around when it’s clear they don’t have their stuff on a given night, especially since his bullpen is loaded.  Hey, who am I to question the future Manager of the Year.

Enough about Redskins second year quarterback Robert Griffin III. Just let him play for goodness sake. If he gets hurt . . . he gets hurt. I know that sounds hard, but guess what?  The game is hard!

Talk about reaching . . . I don’t know about you, but at no time did I link the Pirates potential 21 year losing season with Roberto Clemente number 21. No, not once. Not at all. Never . . . ever crossed my mind.

The Pittsburgh – Steelers kick it off Sunday against the Tennessee Titans at home, 1:00 p.m. Should win. Need to win home opener and better win the ones this year they’re supposed to win. Nuff said!!

Harlem Nights, the hottest and most exciting oldies par-tay returns for its final showcase of the season on Friday, September 27th  at 3 Lakes Golf Course. This year’s finale will, as always, feature the United Rays Corvette Club, MAD Dad’s Inc., the Dance Masters Roland and Bill Ford and their dance companies and a special salute to honor the legend Sly Jock. Doors open for line dancers early, set at 8:00 p.m., with Roland Ford spinning the jams and the par-tay goes on till 1:00.  $10 donation will benefit The Champions Toys for Tots Christmas Party and Toy Giveaway. Free parking – cash bar – cash kitchen – 50/50 – in house photographer and dancin . . . dancin . . . dancin!!! (Special note:  Please bring an unwrapped toy or new clothing item for children 5-15 years old – – – no you don’t get a discount at the door, but you’ll feel better for doing it.)
