The Pittsburgh Pirates Heritage Celebration Tailgate VIP event kicked-off Pirates Heritage Weekend, which included a variety of elements filled with great fun and enjoyment. The Pittsburgh Pirates Heritage Celebration Tailgate was held Friday just before the Cincinnati Reds 7:05 p.m. game.

For $40 fans could enjoy the game, a catered meal, a Pirates goodie bag, a Roberto Clemente replica jersey, and more. Fans at the tailgate also had the chance to meet Pirates alumni Dave Cash, Dave Parker, Manny Sanguillen and Grant Jackson.

Information and awareness booths were present, featuring some of the community’s finest local non-profit and human service organizations, which makes this event a great networking opportunity. The tailgate featured music by House of Soul, creating the perfect atmosphere for any Pirates fan. Additionally, the Pirates recognized the 2013 Community Champions during an on–field pre–game ceremony.
