WILKINSBURG, Pa. (AP) — Two 19-year-old men are jailed on charges they robbed and killed a western Pennsylvania jitney driver who suffered such grievous shotgun wounds to the face police couldn’t initially identify her.

Online court records don’t list attorneys for Timothy Brock, of East Liberty, and William McGraw, of McKeesport, who remained jailed Wednesday on charges including criminal homicide and robbery.

Allegheny County homicide detectives say the men conspired to call and rob a jitney, which was driven by 28-year-old Monica Proviano, of Wilkinsburg. Her body was found in the street about 3 a.m. April 10, in the crime-ridden Pittsburgh suburb where she lived.

According to a criminal complaint, both men confessed and say Proviano was shot when the sawed-off shotgun McGraw was holding “went off” after Brock took the woman’s money. Police say the men left her to die.
