Burley Wilson concurred.
“We like to promote the talent we have here in Pittsburgh. Carolyn has a beautiful voice and she works well with Sean’s group,” Wilson said. “This event allows people to know what other artists are out there and I hope to introduce Porter to Carolyn and put her on his radar.
Audiences can expect to hear duets between Perteete and Jones as well as Jones and his quintet jamming together on classics like “My Funny Valentine” and “Embraceable You.” Audiences will also be treated to never-heard-before compositions.
Both Wilson and Jones say the event is a crowd pleaser with people coming to Pittsburgh from Philadelphia, New York and other places across the country to hear the beautiful music.
“We’re three different artists; three different leaders with a different vibe coming from the same place,” Jones said.
“I want the audience to walk away knowing Gregory’s work and to have a great experience. I can’t wait until next year,” Wilson said.
