Fall was in the air on Sept. 8 as nearly 300 made their way to St. John’s Cathedral in Munhall for the second annual AKA, Alpha Alpha Omega Chapter, Fall Fantasy Cabaret.

Guests partied while Roland Ford instructed on the latest line dances. Deejay Tim Guthrie kept the party going on and on until the next day. There were door prizes to win, 50/50 raffles to take a chance on, and food and libation to enjoy.

The Fall Fantasy Cabaret raised money for scholarships and programs sponsored by Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority Inc. On the Fall Fantasy committee were Crystal McCormick, Monica Lamar and Natisha Frye. The AKA’s ask that you also make a note of the following dates: Tuesday, Sept. 25 from 6-8 p.m., the AKA’s will hold a wine and cheese reception at Ambiance Boutique, 428 Allegheny River Blvd., in Oakmont.

There will be a 10 percent discount on all purchases and all purchases during the evening will be considered a donation from Alpha Alpha Omega Chapter to Homeless women at Bethlehem Haven. Ambiance carries new and consigned designer clothing, handbags, shoes, accessories, jewelry and home furnishings. Also mark your calendars for the AKA annual card party on Oct. 6 and the Pink Ice Ball scheduled for Dec.15.
