Boxing Class

OCT. 26—Citiparks of the City of Pittsburgh will host a Pittsburgh Boxing Class from 6-8 p.m. at the Brookline Recreation Center, Brookline Blvd., Brookline. State of Black Pittsburgh

OCT. 29—The Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh will host its 2011 State of Black Pittsburgh from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at the August Wilson Center for African American Culture, 980 Liberty Ave., Cultural District. The theme is “For the Sake of Our Kids.” There will be a job fair, exhibits and workshops for adults from 9-11 a.m. At 11:15 a.m. there will be a keynote address by Esther Bush and a special co-presentation by “The Three Doctors.” There will also be activities for kids from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. and a lunch served for those who attend the keynote address. Breast Cancer Walk

OCT. 29—The American Cancer Society will host a Breast Cancer Walk at 9 a.m. at the North Shore Riverfront Park, across from Heinz Field. Flu Shot Clinic

OCT. 29—UPMC St. Margaret Hospital will host a Flu Shot Clinic from 9 a.m.-12 p.m. at Entrance B of the hospital, 815 Freeport Rd., Fox Chapel. Area residents age 65 and older will be given free flu vaccinations. Priority will be given to seniors with chronic health problems.
