It was a radiant evening as the FROGS (friendly rivalry often generates success) held their annual FROGS Formal at the beautiful Omni William Penn Hotel.

With the New Show Band providing the soundtrack and Elaine Effort as emcee, more than 300 witnessed the crowning of the newest FROG queen, Sahaar Turner, by her grandfather and FROG member George Webb.

Sahaar is a graduate of Westinghouse High School and graduated with three gold seals: for business and finance, centers for advance studies and academic achievement.

This accomplished young lady will attend Carlow University in the fall with a dual enrollment at Carnegie Mellon University majoring in Environmental Engineering and mathematics. One day she hopes to start her own power plant that can recycle the waste we pollute our oceans with. Her escort was Keilynn D. Burkes, a student at Mansfield University. Her court included: Estora Miller, Seazon Ponti, Reese White and Eva McKissick.

Six new FROGS were introduced on this beautiful evening: K. Chase Patterson, Robert Farmer, Mike Jasper, Harry Johnson, James Wilson and Andrew Winbish.

After an enjoyable dinner the crowd danced to the sounds of DeeJay Mac Daddy. FROG weekend event chairs included: Franklin Robinson, Fred Parker, George Webb and Chuck Franklin.
