On May 22, Renee Aldrich, founder and director of the Softer Side Seminars, hosted a Lavender Affair at Montage in Point Breeze.

The afternoon tea and luncheon was a celebration of the relationship between mothers, daughters, grandmothers, aunts and sisters. This soiree, where ladies wore beautiful shades of lavender, was a great post-Mother’s Day event.

ACTORS AND FRIENDS—Cheryl El-Walker, Terri Bridget and Kim El.

Dozens enjoyed a scrumptious lunch; a mime presentation by Rochelle Robinson and Sherry Brown; smooth jazz by Kevin Howard; and an encore presentation of “Reflections” with actresses Kim El, Cheryl El-Walker and Terri Bridget.

Montage was the perfect back drop for souvenir pictures by Ahmad Sandidge. Groups of friends and mothers and daughters enjoyed posing for pictures and reconnecting with old friends.

Aldrich says the Softer Side Mission is to answer the call to enter into a softer, more loving relationship with ourselves and to commit to entering into a softer more loving relationship with ourselves.
