Prison ministry training

Fashion show/luncheon

Ministry anniversary

APRIL 30—The Allegheny Scranton of the AME Church will host a 25th Pastoral Ministry Anniversary Celebration of Rev. Dr. Eric L. Brown at 6 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel, 101 Mall Blvd., Monroeville. The gala celebration will celebrate Rev. Brown’s 25 years in the ministry. Bishop C. Garnett Henning Sr. will be the keynote speaker and Demareus Cooper will be the psalmist. Prayer breakfast

MAY 7—The Missionary Auxiliary of Pentecostal Temple COGIC, 6300 East Liberty Blvd., East Liberty, will host a Pre-Mother’s Day Prayer Breakfast at 9 a.m. at the Rivers Club, One Oxford Centre, 301 Grant St., Downtown. Gospel concert

MAY 7—The Pittsburgh Gospel Choir will host a Gospel Concert at 4 p.m. at East Liberty Presbyterian Church, 116 S. Highland Ave., East Liberty. The theme will be “O Sing Unto the Lord A New Song: An Afternoon of Tribute, Recognition & Celebration.” The choir, under the direction of Herbert V.R.P. MAY 14—Lost But Not Forgotten Outreach will host a Fundraiser at 11:30 a.m. at the Pittsburgh Athletic Association Club, 4215 Fifth Ave., Oakland. This is to raise money for their organization, which helps to keep incarcerated individuals from going back to their bad habits through providing various tools and skill sets to achieve success. Women’s Day

MAY 15—Morningside Baptist Church, 4846 Sullivan St., Garfield, will host their Annual Women’s Day at 11 a.m. The guest speaker will be Rev. Lola Cherry of Sixth Mt. Zion Baptist Church. There will also be an afternoon service at 3:30 p.m. with Sis. Tiffany Robinson of Revival Temple Fellowship Ministry. Devotions will be led by the church’s Praise Team and Rising Star Baptist Church.

Bible study

ONGOING—King of Kings Baptist Ministries, 5169 Broad St., Garfield, will host an Hour of Power Bible Study at 7:30 p.m. Every Tuesday there will be an in-depth look into the Word of God.
