Health workshop

SEPT. 8—The Mercy Parish Nurse and Health Ministry Program will host “America’s Child Obesity Epidemic: Parish Nurses Can Make a Difference” from 5:30-8 p.m. at UPMC Mercy Hospital, 1400 Locust St., Uptown. Spiritual conference

SEPT. 8—Bethany Baptist Church, 7745 Tioga St., Homewood, will host the Spiritual Renewal/Missions Conference at 7 p.m. The theme is “The Year of Jubilee: 50 Years of Proclaiming Christ to the World Through Missions.” The conference will run through Sept. 12. Bible study

SEPT. 8—Deliverance Center Original Church of God, 1250 Liverpool St., North Side, will host an in depth Study of the Book of Daniel from 7-9 p.m. Every Wednesday the church will do an in depth study of the book of the Bible.
