Theme parties are fun. When a theme is set you are given license to shop for a new outfit or at least pull one out of the closet that needs some exposure.

THE MUSIC MEN—Ronnie Biggs, Charles Carter Sr., Gurdy Metz, Jacques Burvick, Chaz Carter, Winston Carter, Danny Boy and Al Everson.

On Aug. 6 Club Duo held their White Party as a part of their Club Duo First Friday social. White parties have always been popular from the Hamptons to South Beach with Pittsburgh in between. Wearing white screams summer and who doesn’t have something white in their wardrobe? Most people at least own a white shirt.

Guests of Club Duo were spotted at the Holiday Inn, Oakland in shades of white, silver and a few added bright colors to their white attire. More than 200 enjoyed the sounds of the Starship Family, Brother 2 Brother, Jacques Burvick and Danny Boy. Roland Ford got the evening off to a fast start with line dance demos.

Warren Wilson, Chaz Carter and Shawn Hopson are the trio behind Club Duo. The popular parties resurfaced in 2006, after a decade hiatus with a smooth jazz format catering to the seasoned adult.

WE’RE HERE TO PARTY—Anita Brooks, Luchina Everett, Monica Solomon.
