Summer celebration

JUNE 16—Parish of the Word of God, 7446 McClure Ave., Swissvale, will host a Summer Celebration at 6 p.m. at the Word of God School, 7436 McClure Ave., Swissvale. Each evening there will be a flea market, food, bingo and more. There will also be a raffle. The celebration will run through June 19 and is open to the public. Car wash/fish fry

Community outreach

JUNE 19—Lost But Not Forgotten Outreach will host a Community Outreach Event from 12-3 p.m. at the Parking lot of the Alma Illery Health Center at 7227 Hamilton Ave., Homewood-Brushton. Pre-Father’s Day concert

JUNE 19—The Men of Mt. Olive Baptist Church, 330 4th St., Rankin, will host a Pre-Father’s Day Concert at 1 p.m.  There will also be a Boys II Men cookout from 12-5 p.m. Rib dinners are $8, chicken dinners are $6 and pop is 50 cents. Summer camp

JUNE 21—The Salvation Army Homewood-Brushton Corps. will host a Summer Camp at 8020 Frankstown Ave., Wilkinsburg. The camp will run through July 23 and include daily devotions, arts & crafts, singing, swimming and field trips. Gospel concert

JUNE 26—Alberta Ayers and friends will host a Gospel Concert at 5 p.m. at Dunamis Baptist Church, 751 Wallace Ave., Wilkinsburg. The program will feature some of the leading singers in the area. Gospel hour

ONGOING—Pittsburgh Spirit & Soul will host a Friday Lunchtime Gospel Hour from 12:15-1 p.m. at 937 Liberty Ave., Cultural District. Every Friday, from now until September, Rev. Deryck Tines Mitchell and his gospel singers will sing praises. Other artists include Minister Del Fullum, Marlend Davis, Wyatt Woods and Felecia Harvey. The event is free and all are welcome.
