The 100 Black Men Of Western Pennsylvania held its 15th Annual Imhotep Mentoring & Scholarship Golf Classic at Southpointe Golf Club and CCAC Aug. 24. The golf classic is held annually to raise funds to support the group’s’ area mentoring program and to provide scholarships to the program’s graduating seniors and awards to the key participating students.

LEADERS—Ron Lawrence, president, and Michael Carlisle, vice president.

Ron Lawrence, president, said in a statement the program has positively affected the lives of 100 of the region’s future leaders. Its goal is to continue to provide a solid educational, cultural, health and wellness, and economic foundation for area youths in preparing them for the challenges of adulthood and post-secondary education and re-enforces the theme “What they see is what they’ll be.” Several businesses and individuals participated in the classic to help raise funds.
