The bridegroom who couldn’t marry

LZ GRANDERSON (CNN) — Winamac, Indiana,is pretty much how it sounds. Small — home to fewer than 2,500 people–rural, and it has more churches than libraries, schools and liquor stores. About 20 minutes north is a similar town by the name of Knox. This is where Thomas Lee Bridegroom was born. And just on the edge of Winamac — between West Main and West Adams — is a small cemetery by the name of Crown Hill. This is where he is buried.

Some homosexuals confuse a crime with a ‘right’

RAYNARD JACKSON (NNPA)—As it is written, “there is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”—Proverbs 14:12What an appropriate statement to describe the continued denigration of the moral fabric of American society. I am fed up with everyone trying to be accommodating of homosexuals when they refuse to reciprocate towards those who disagree with them. Let me explain.

Why millennials are leaving the church

(CNN) — At 32, I barely qualify as a millennial. I wrote my first essay with a pen and paper, but by the time I graduated from college, I owned a cell phone and used Google as a verb. I still remember the home phone numbers of my old high school friends, but don’t ask me to recite my husband’s without checking my contacts first. I own mix tapes that include selections from Nirvana and Pearl Jam, but I’ve never planned a trip without Travelocity. Despite having one foot in Generation X, I tend to identify most strongly with the attitudes and the ethos of the millennial generation, and because of this, I’m often asked to speak to my fellow evangelical leaders about why millennials are leaving the church.

When celebrities share secrets, good things happen

That’s Jarron on the left, Jason on the right and Oprah Winfrey in the middle. You can’t blame anyone for mistaking Jarron Collins for his twin brother, Jason. And that never used to mean much. They both went to Stanford, both played in the NBA, both developed reputations as bruising big men. They were identically nondescript NBA players.(Chuck Hodes, AP/OWN) by Laura Wexler (CNN) — Coming out of the closets of our culture seems to be the thing to do these days, but it is not a new phenomenon.
