Pittsburgh Public Theater presents “Good People” at 8 p.m. at the O’Reilly Theater, 621 Penn Ave., Cultural District. This play, which is part of the MADE IN AMERICA season, is a 2011 Tony-nominated production by David Lindsay-Abaire. The play is set in Boston and is about a single mother who has lost her job, while rent is due. She attends the party of an ex-boyfriend and his wife, looking for help with finding a job. Holiday Open House
The University of Pittsburgh presents its Nationality Rooms Holiday Open House from 12-4 p.m. at the Cathedral of Learning, 4200 Fifth Ave., Oakland. The 29 Nationality Roomds will be authentically decorated to reflect their ethnic heritages. There will be musical performances and seasonal treats from around the globe. FashionAFRICANA presents GLAMZONIA by Mario Epanya at 6:30 p.m. at the August Wilson Center for African American Culture, 980 Liberty Ave., Cultural District. GLAMZONIA is a photography exhibit paying tribute to African beauty and hairstyles by photographer Mario Epanya. He celebrates African ancestry and customs by highlighting his interpretation of the aesthetics and shapes used by African ancestors for ceremonial and special occasion dress.
