Police serve meals

For the past several years, officers from various zones and duty locations teamed up with Zone 3 Pittsburgh Bureau of Police officers to deliver prepared Thanksgiving meals. PBP Officers delivered the hot meals on Thanksgiving morning through the early afternoon.

Officers delivered food orders servicing Allentown, Arlington, Banksville, Beechview, Beltzhoover, Bon Air, Brookline, Carrick, Chartiers City, Crafton Heights, Duquesne Heights, East Carnegie, Elliott, Esplen, Fairywood, Knoxville, Mt. Washington, Mt. Oliver, Oakwood, Overbrook, Ridgemont, Sheraden, South Side, West End, Westwood and Windgap.
The event has gone from feeding 250 people who are homeless, shut-in, disabled or in need to more than 1,500.
