Wilkinsburg Public Safety Forum
FEB. 7—The Wilkinsburg Police Department will host a Public Forum from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at Eastridge Branch Library, 1900 Graham Blvd., Wilkinsburg. The forum will help bridge the gap between the Wilkinsburg Police Department, businesses, and borough residents. Community members will be able to ask specific questions about their neighborhood. Writers Workshop Tribute
FEB. 9—Amir Rashidd and A.V. Robinson will host “In Honor and Remembrance of the Kuntu Writers Workshop and Its Members” at 2p.m. at the Homewood Branch of the Carnegie Library, 7101 Hamilton Ave., Homewood. This will be an open mic event filled with poetry, music, dance, song and a special tribute to the Kuntu Writers Workshop members who share eternity with the ancestors. Parents’ Night Out
FEB. 9—The Carnegie Science Center will host its Parents’ Night Out from 5-10 p.m. at Carnegie Science Center, 1 Allegheny Ave., North Shore. The second Saturday of each month, parents can enjoy date night while their children, ages 6-12, enjoy an evening of scientific fan at a safe and entertaining location. Children will participate in science workshops, enjoy pizza, an Omnimax movie and more. Parents will receive a coupon for free slot play.
