This week I visited CJ’s in the Strip District, Savoy Restaurant and Lounge in the Strip District, Tim’s Bar in the Hill District, Ava Lounge in East Liberty and Ace and Deuces Bar in Uptown.

My first stop was at CJ’s in the Strip District where DJ Mike “The Punisher” was on the 1’s and 2’s spinning the hits for the crowd.

My next stop was at Savoy Restaurant and Lounge in the Strip District where Connie Portis, publisher of the Greater Pittsburgh Black Business Directory and Resource Guide, held a celebration. Everyone from Pittsburgh’s African-American business community was in attendance.

My next stop was at Tim’s Bar in the Hill District where everyone was getting their party on for the weekend and listening to great music.

My next stop was at the Ava Lounge in East Liberty where they held their weekly Jazz event featuring the greatest musician from the Pittsburgh area.

My final destination was at Ace and Deuces Lounge in Uptown where the city of Pittsburgh came out for “Tuesday Night 25 cent Wing Night.” The chicken is always off the hook and a great crowd pleaser.
