Things change. The Post Office employed my father starting in the late 1940s. It employed me for 3 years. But this is a country that relies on technological change. Technology changes once every 4 years. The Post Office is no longer needed. As I have been telling Black people since high school, that you have to keep up with the changing technology and make yourself marketable. If not, you will be unemployed for years at a time. That is why we have about 16% unemployed. If they close the Post Offices as they should, we can have about 40% unemployed. It is coming and I bet few Blacks will do anything about it until it happens. But first, we will cry discrimination.
