			<description><![CDATA[A PPS Board member was recently quoted in the Courier regarding ventilation and enrollment in connection with Schenley. It is important to understand that ventilation is an issue of normal periodic replacement of systems and not a reason to dispose of a notable and well built landmark like Schenley. Many Pittsburgh public school buildings from the same era have had ventilation renovations without extensive demolition or expense. In fact, ventilation upgrades for Schenley were in the PPS capital budget for 2004 for $1.35M. Bidders for the building are not particularly concerned with ventilation.]]></description>
