PowerBreakfast Meeting
JAN. 18—The African-American Chamber of Commerce of Western Pennsylvania will host its PowerBreakfast Meeting at 7:30 a.m. at the Rivers Club, One Oxford Centre, 301 Grant St., Downtown. The guest speaker will be Arletta Scott Williams, executive director of the Allegheny County Sanitary Authority, and she, along with her team, will present environmental opportunities with ALCOSAN, which provides services for 85 communities in the county/ Reservations are requested by Jan. 16. Small Business Basics
JAN. 19—The Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Chatham University and SCORE Pittsburgh will host a Small Business Basics Workshop from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at Chatham University, Mellon Board Room, 106 Woodland Rd., Shadyside. Making A New Business Your New Career
JAN. 23—Duquesne University’s Small Business Development Center will host “Second Act: Making A New Business Your New Career” from 10:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. at the Sheraton Station Square Hotel, 300 W. Station Square Dr., Station Square. This seminar is to identify different choices and opportunities for second career entrepreneurs, and provide useable, real life answers.
