PowerBreakfast Meeting
JAN. 18—The African-American Chamber of Commerce of Western Pennsylvania will host its PowerBreakfast Meeting at 7:30 a.m. at the Rivers Club, One Oxford Centre, 301 Grant St., Downtown. The guest speaker will be Arletta Scott Williams, executive director of the Allegheny County Sanitary Authority, and she, along with her team, will present environmental opportunities with ALCOSAN, which provides services for 85 communities in the county/ Reservations are requested by Jan. 16. Small Business Basics
JAN. 19—The Center for Women’s Entrepreneurship at Chatham University and SCORE Pittsburgh will host a Small Business Basics Workshop from 8 a.m.-1 p.m. at Chatham University, Mellon Board Room, 106 Woodland Rd., Shadyside. This workshop is for women interested in starting their own business or expanding their current business. Experts will discuss various business topics. Registration is required.
