AUGUST 28—Knowledge Point Academy and Peter Bruening’s Selling Points Group will host Advanced Selling Skills at The Regional Learning Alliance, 850 Cranberry Woods Dr., Cranberry. Godlove, a nowU representative from the PA Treasury Department, will be the presenter. 529 plans are college savings plans offered by states. The event is free and open to the public. SEPT. 2—The YWCA Greater Pittsburgh will host an Enterprising Women Business Training Course from 6-8:30 p.m. at 305 Wood St., Downtown. This is a training program designed for women with low to moderate incomes. The class is 12 weeks and will meet every Tuesday or Thursday beginning the week of Sept. 2. Participants will learn the basics of business structures and strategies; how to set realistic goals; how to develop a business plan; and how to access small loans and more.
