•Must become a resident of the City of Altoona within six (6) months of the date of employment and must remain a resident of the city during the tenure of employment.
•Must pass a physical examination prior to final appointment to the Fire Department.
•Must be at least 18 years of age at time of application.
•Must have a valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
•Must be a high school graduate or possess a GED equivalent.
•Must be of high moral character and free of any felony or misdemeanor convictions.
