Church anniversary
JULY 6—Triedstone Baptist Church, 18 Harriet St., Rankin, will host “Evangelize the Sinner in 2008” at 11 a.m. This is a part of the 62nd Church Anniversary Celebration. Reverend John Knight of Cornerstone Baptist Church will be the guest preacher. There will be a 3:30 p.m. worship service with guest preacher Rev. Barbara Gunn of Mt. Carmel Baptist Church. Vacation bible school
JULY 7—The Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, 90 Port Perry Rd., North Versailles, will host their vacation Bible School. There will be faith-based learning, activities and crafts. Children and youth classes run from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. with breakfast and lunch provided. There will also be classes for adults at 6:30 p.m. It will run July 7-11 and all are welcome. Men’s prayer
JULY 8—Covenant Church of Pittsburgh, 2110 Andrew Dr., Wilkinsburg, will host “Watchmen On The Wall Morning Prayer” at 5 a.m. This is a morning prayer event to worship, praise, love God and bring men of all diversities and denominations together. Tai chi classes
JULY 8—The Health Ministry of East Liberty Presbyterian Church will offer tai chi classes from 10-11 a.m., 116 S. Highland Ave., East Liberty. Judy Crow will be the instructor. JULY 10—Sound the Alarm Ministries, 434 Franklin Ave., Aliquippa, will host “Here is Our Praise” a Praise & Worship Music Workshop/Concert at 6 p.m. The guest clinicians will be Curtis E. Lewis, Ph.D., Jeannice Barrett, Tamiko Dawkins, Lisa Giles and Joshua Jones. Special recording artist will be Curtis Lewis Jr. The workshop will run July 10-13. On July 11 it will be held at St. John AME Church, Bridgewater, at 6 p.m., July 12 at Sound the Alarm Ministries. Dinner cruise
JULY 13—Mt. Ararat Baptist Church, 271 Paulson Ave., East Liberty, will host the “Second Annual All White Dinner Cruise” at 5:30 p.m. at the Gateway Clipper Fleet, 350 W. Station Square Dr., Station Square. Cruise-goers must be dressed in their finest all- white outfit for a night of dinner and dancing. Special guest DJ will be Sly Jock. Ministry seminar
JULY 14—Greater Works Outreach, 301 College Park Dr., Monroeville, will host a Biblical Teaching Seminar at 10 a.m. The week-long seminar will include biblical teaching, ministry and fellowship. Guest speakers include Pastor Eric Butler, Bishop Mark Fikey, Bishop Joseph Garlington, Rev. David Ireland, Ph.D., Pastor Gary Oliver and Apostle Reginald White.
