Pastoral anniversary and celebration
April 2—King of Kings Baptist Ministries, 5169 Broad St., North Side, will host a 20th pastoral anniversary and celebration at 7 p.m. The theme is “A Man of Order.” It will run from April 2-6. The guest speaker for the first event will be Rev. Gerald Smith of Christ Missionary Baptist Church. On April 3 at 7 p.m., Rev. Michael Murray of Second Baptist Church will be the guest speaker and the Trinity Baptist Church Male Chorus will entertain. On April 4 at 7 p.m., Rev. Hubert Hutchinson of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church will be the speaker. There will be a celebration banquet at the Comfort Inn Hotel in Penn Hills on April 5 at 5 p.m. On April 6, there will be a Sunday morning worship service at 10 a.m. with Rev. J.W. Clay from Second Baptist Church of Frankfort and a closing service at 5 p.m. with Bishop Jesse N. Gavin from Greater Calvary Full Gospel Baptist Church. This event is free and open to all. Commandments tea
April 5—The Messengers of Christ Choir of Bethel AME Church, 2720 Webster Ave., Hill District, will host the 3rd annual 10 Commandments Tea at 12 p.m. This will be an afternoon of praise, with an inspiring word from God from speakers with speakers from the surrounding area.
