Heritage and hope banquet
FEB. 16—Wayman Chapel AME Church, 1120 6th Ave., New Brighton, will host the “Third Annual Heritage and Hope Banquet” at 5:30 p.m. at The Berkshire, 717 12th St., Beaver Falls. FEB. 16—The AUUC Racial Justice Ministry will host “I Was A Slave” at 2 p.m. at the Allegheny Unitarian Universalist Church, 416 W. North Ave., Northside. Local singers and storytellers, Loretta Reed and Lorrainne Phillips, will tell the story of a young African girl taken from her homeland and sold into slavery.
