Bromwell spent eight years as a Yellow Cab driver while earning degrees in Business and Finance from the Community College of Allegheny County and Duquesne University.
“Reid knows our industry from the inside and has achieved the necessary business expertise to join our growing management team,” said Jamie Campolongo, president and chief executive officer of PTG.
Founded 15 years ago, Star Paratransit works under contract with Access serving the elderly and disabled in an area stretching from Pleasant Hills to Pittsburgh’s Oakland area and including Castle Shannon, Mt. Washington and Carrick. With an operating budget of some $2.5 million, Star Paratransit has a staff of over 60 and operates 50 vehicles.
“All our operators have passed the necessary testing to carry out their duties,” said Bromwell.
Bromwell resides in Pittsburgh’s Carrick area. He is pursuing a master’s degree in Business Administration at Robert Morris University, and is also seeking certification as a National Transportation Manager.
In addition to Star Paratransit, the Pittsburgh Transportation Group, the region’s largest privately held transportation company, includes Yellow Cab, Express Shuttle, Freedom Coach, Embassy Coach/Limousine Service, and PTG Charter Services.
