Golden Age hip-hop group EPMD (Erick and Parrish Making Dollars) has teamed with DJ Diamonds in a tour of select cities to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut album, “Strictly Business.” In doing so, they made sure to stop in Pittsburgh to perform at the Multiple Choice Events’ Hip Hop Edition in honor of hip-hop’s national birthday celebration.

“Pittsburgh is a place me and Parrish came to during the LL Cool J tour, and this is our first time being in Pittsburgh for a long time. I’m surprised more artists haven’t come out of this city because Pittsburgh is so hip-hop heavy. We show Pittsburgh love and they always give it back to us,” Erick Sermon of EPMD said.
The album “Strictly Business” features EPMD’s hit record, “You Gots to Chill.”

Parrish Smith of EPMD said, “Pittsburgh was show-in’ off. That’s why we came here. We knew Pittsburgh was hip-hop.”
